Can Douching Prevent Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STDs)?
No. Douching after sexual intercourse does not prevent sexually transmitted
diseases (STDs).
Although practicing safe sex can dramatically decrease your risk of
contracting these types of diseases, abstaining
from sex is the only way to ensure that you do not
get a sexually transmitted disease.
